What and When to Eat
We are what we eat and when we eat. 

When you make a decision to drop unwanted weight it is important to eat less. It is also important to be wise in your decision which foods to eliminate and when to eliminate them.

Making time for a nutritious breakfast is like an insurance policy for avoiding mid afternoon sugar cravings, energy drops and mood swings.

Skipping breakfast is a poor choice because you fail to fuel your body when it needs it the most which forces your body into starvation mode. When your body thinks you are starving every morsel, every calorie becomes all important for survival. The body will begin to store the calories you eat as fat; this will make you fat which is the opposite of what you are trying to accomplish.

Remember the famous saying: ‘You are what you eat’. It is also true that you are when you eat. The same foods you eat for breakfast or lunch are processed differently than if you eat the same food for dinner.

Unless you are on a special diet, it is best you start your day by stoking your metabolism with a good balance of protein, fats and carbs to start and continue eating throughout the day. Keep in mind that our bodies are like a machine which need fuel to run. Since our bodies are always running and burning energy during active times and sedentary times it is important to keep the tank full with a good healthy balance of protein, carbs and fat.
